| Local Cherries or Calumpit |
Saw these in the market today. I got curious so I bought them. The vendor said they are called 'Local Cherries'. They are quite sour with a bit of a sweet and a little weird aftertaste.
When I looked them up online, I discovered that it's called 'Calumpit/Kalumpit'. They were really cheap. I bought Php20.00 worth of these and gave some to friends. This amount (in the picture) would probably cost around Php10 or 47 US cents ^_^
